This year, HTC won the silver medal in sustainability from EcoVadis, one of the world's most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings. This is the second consecutive year for HTC to win the award, placing the company higher than 82% of 100,000+ evaluated companies around the world. EcoVadis assesses sustainability performance based on four key themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
Additionally, HTC is one of more than 200 major purchasing organizations worldwide to join the CDP Supply Chain Member program. As a CDP Supply Chain member, HTC is working with its suppliers to address environmental risks and build a sustainable future. HTC recently received the leadership level (A-) in the 2022 Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) score report, which is higher than last year (B), reflecting the company’s dedication to continual improvement in this area. In the 2022 Climate Change score report released by CDP, HTC achieved the management level (B), which is also higher than last year (B-). Through collaboration across departments and business units, HTC achieved A in the "Emissions reduction initiatives" and "Scope 1 & 2 emissions" categories.
Moreover, HTC has committed to set near-term company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), whose goal is to accelerate companies’ shift towards halving emissions before 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions before 2050.
